Welcome to our online store. It's a given that what we put in our bodies affects our health. At Barbara Ann's Heavenly Scents, we believe that what we put in our homes and other intimate spaces is just as important. Our candles are made of 100% soy wax which is a vegetable oil derived from soybeans that solidifies at room temperature. Soy wax is non-toxic which makes it better for the environment and your health. Soy wax burns longer and cleaner than other waxes such as paraffin. Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum oil. Paraffin produces black soot and releases harmful by-products when burned. You may see some frosting with the candles and wax melts. Frosting is normal and does not affect the performance of the candle in any way. Frosting is most common in 100% soy wax candles. Frosting occurs when the wax crystalizes as it cools and hardens, trying to return to its natural form. As with any candle, read the warning label prior to burning.

Barbara Ann's Heavenly Scents is a mother and daughter owned business. Barbara lived a tough life starting from an early age. She was placed in foster care at the age of 6 after her mother passed away. She went to multiple foster homes where she was abused and mistreated. She finally found a permanent foster home and was raised by two amazing foster parents. Later in her life, she became a victim of domestic violence. Through all this, she survived. After withstanding all life threw at her, she became stronger. Barbara was the strongest woman we knew. Barbara became ill and went from wheelchair bound to being bedridden very quickly. Sadly, Barbara passed away at home on May 30th, 2021. We decided that making candles would be the perfect way to embrace her memory. With every lighting of our candles, her memory lives on.
